Things that are becoming quite clear:
Jacoby Ellsbury is a future 50/50 guy.
Dustin Pedroia will hit .400 in the future. Twice.

50 steals, 50 singles? .400 OBP?
JD Drew and Dustin Pedroia might end up with double digit homers!

I don't know about Drew, he sure has long streaks in between home runs.

Man we haven't seen one of those in quite some time. Great time for Big Papi, two jacks tonight.
And alwayslovetheceltics don't get on Francona. Jacoby hurt his wrist last night.

@ Delmon Young's route to that ball. Yes, Papi is still indeed clutch.

This is from rotoworld.com
Jacoby Ellsbury won't play Wednesday after hurting his right wrist in a collision with the wall in left field during Tuesday's game.
Ellsbury has a history of wrist problems, so the Red Sox don't want to take any chances.
Good move to give the kid two days off and hopefully he's ready to go against the Yankees. Although Manny maybe ready as well.

so then sit drew. an ellsbury crisp manny outfield is just better.

I know it's only 9 games, but so far for September Drew has actually hit quite well. Although I do agree I think Ellsbury needs to be out there.
On Friday it's not going to matter either way if Manny is healthy, because Kielty will be in right with Pettitte on the mound.

Hitting "quite well" in September doesn't make up for his previous terrible hitting in April, May, June, July and August.

It's something tho right? If he has a good september and playoffs I think you can look past his past struggles. He's not going anywhere so you would think Sox fans would be pulling for the guy to get going. Regardless if you want to believe it or not...he is a good baseball player.

I was at my first Sox game in 9 years last night (since I moved) and damn I got to see a good one. The place electric after Ortiz hit that HR. I nearly lost my voice, god damn. I really miss Fenway a lot and it sucks since the only games I go to at home are Diamondbacks games where the fans are horrible and they can't sell games out even though they're in first. Pathetic.
As far as Drew, I hope he gets going. We could really use the extra bat in the playoffs. Ellsbury is good but he really does not have that much power at all.
