Manny Ramirez will be left field tonight for the Boston Red Sox. Oddly enough he will be batting in a spot he has not seen since 1995. Manny Ramirez your new number two hitter.

I guess the reason is to get Manny 2 or 3 at-bats then get Ellsbury in the game to take over for him.

Honestly, why do fans cheer for a guy who just skipped 25 games because he is lazy and doesn't care about the team?

Honestly, how can people not cheer for a player that helps their team win by being better than guys on the bench?

Do you even know how hard it is to judge when a player is ready from that type of injury? So now we are going with he wasn't hurt at all and I saw in New York he had a legit injury.

Oblique injuries are very difficult for baseball players. Ask BBJ, I'm the first to throw Manny under the bus and sell him off for 30 cents on the dollar but seriously, of all the times to call him out on, this is not it. He missed a month with an oblique injury while the team held a comfortable lead and inside position to the play-offs. Let the guy rest and come into the playoffs 100%. mahalo

Honestly, why do some fans get on Manny for missing 25 games with an oblique injury and call him "lazy" and say he just "skipped" 25 games when those same exact fans would blow Trot Nixon (whether they were guys or girls doesn't matter-- it's all about the Dirt Dog fanboyism) and applaud his incredible guts to come back from the same injury in the same amount of time?

The truth is, you have absolutely no clue how injured he was and you really shouldn't pretend you do.
