Wakefield definitely, Mirabelli by default, Tavarez cuz hes a good clubhouse guy, and Lowell because hes awesome. I dont care about hte rest, and Id take them all as long as its a small/short contract.

i'd like to bring lowell back if its the 3yr/4th option deal discussed in a different thread.

i'd be okay bringing schilling back for something reasonable too. guy can still pitch as the postseason has proved.

wakefield, mirabelli - once again, fine at the right price.

i have seen nothing out of gagne to make me interested in bringing him back. don't we get a couple of picks from the rangers if he leaves?

clement? why?

the bench guys i'm fine bringing back.

Wakefield's contract is one of the most team-friendly deals in baseball. It'd be stupid not to bring him back until his arm falls off or he puts up consecutive seasons with a 5+ ERA. LAIMs like Wakefield are extremely valuable, especially at his price.

Other than Wake: Lowell. For obvious reasons.

Tavarez and Wakefield. Offer Gagne, Lowell and Schilling arbitration and wait for someone else to sign them and net the 6 (!!) draft picks.

I wouldn't mind Eric Hinske as the last guy on the bench.

I suppose if Wakefield comes, so does Mirabelli. Which really sucks, but I guess you can't go wrong with a Wakefile/Mirabelli combo that will give you ~200 IP of league average ERA for about 5-ish million.

I'dd offer gagne arbitration but no contract. If he leaves so be it, if he accepts it doesnt really hurt because I think he can bounce back

Considering what Schilling would get in arbitration is exactly what he's looking for (1 yr, similar $13M salary), I'm pretty sure he'd just accept it. I'd be fine with that, too, I just wouldn't expect to get picks for Schilling this off-season.

This team needs to find a better backup catcher than Doug Mirabelli. There has to be a catcher out there that can catch Tim Wakefield and actually hit the ball better than Doug.

Kielty could be used as 4th OF, and Tavarez as a long guy/spot starter. Schill is need to add depth to the rotation b/c i don't trust Lester/Buccholz for a full season
