they say theyre waiting on a physical in regards to colon, the globe said espn jumped the gun on the report, but if they think hes in decent shape, i think its a great pick up. obviously his health has always been a concern, and more so the last two seasons, but maybe hes due to rebound. that being said top notch shape or not, the man can be a workhorse. its nice that the mets can add santana and schilling can still get hurt, yet we remain among (if not the) deepest pitching teams in baseball

How much has Bartolo got left in the tank, is his weight under control. If the guy has got anything left you picked up a helluva a 5th man, but until I see what he has got left the jury is still out!

Good move for the Sox. Minor league deal, so very little risk. Maybe Colon can return to a somewhat productive form.

He won the Cy Young Award only three years ago. Would be nice if he can maintain his weight problem.

Exactly how I feel -- he won a Cy Young in 2005. If we had given him JD Drew $$ I'd be concerned but for a minor league deal? Nice move. Makes up for the bizarre Javier Lopez signing.
