I kinda like this. Nothing feels like opening day like getting up around 5:30 AM. I'm going to have to drink... heavily. I do have class at 11 AM so we'[ll see how that works out.

I'm getting up no doubt. Who can miss Daisuke in Japan? Most of all I want to hear Jerry Remy complain about the flight and food and everything else.

My dad wants to go to a local sports bar to watch the game.

Nothing is open around here. In Delaware. Maybe that's the reason.

I think they said bars are open, but taps are not open till 8 though.
To answer the thread questions title. Of Course!! How many times do you get to watch a live sox game at 6 in the morning. Go Sox!

I'll be up, because I get up for work everyday at 5:15. I'll probably have the game on during my class. I just hope the principal doesn't walk in, although I resigned this past week so I guess it doesn't matter all that much.

I'm not a Sox fan (Rays actually), but I love baseball so much so I will be getting up for it.

I'll probably get up but I find it stupid that opening day is going to be at 530 in the morning (us eastern time) and being played in japan. Just doesn't feel right to me. It actually annoys me. It would of been cool if it was a midseason game but I guess its easier to fit in the schedule at the beginning of the season.

No comments? I'm on the west coast and stayed up for this one....unfortunately on DirecTv there's a nationwide outage for ESPN2 and NESN...the one night DirecTv has issues...I had an online feed for most of the game it cut out right before Moss' game tying home run, but at least ESPN2 seems to be back on DirecTv finally

This has been a great game. I woke up at 6:30 (central time), and saw Manny's 2 run double, and Moss' home run off Street.

Manny is a baaaad man.
Contract year + looking to prove he's still an elite hitter after a subpar year + freaky hitting abilities = lots of fun when Manny is at the plate this year.

Can't wait! Especially since rumor has it he conditioned hard this off-season and it looks like it's already paying dividends.
I'm just bummed that I'm on the West Coast and the game started at like 3 am. :-\

That didn't work out too well. I fell asleep for half the class and took some of the worst notes I have ever seen. At least the whole Red Sox winning thing worked out.

I think Manny just decided to let the public in on his training regimen. I don'[t think he did anything different this offseason, he's always been a hard worker.
