Kyle Snyder gets the boot

Post#1 » by sunshinekids99 » Sun Apr 6, 2008 4:47 pm

A bit of surprise that Snyder got designated for assignment to make room for Josh Beckett. Most Boston sources were saying it was between David Aardsma or Bryan Corey. I can't really blame the Sox tho, Aardsma and Corey see to have more upside than Snyder. Plus Snyder's role is already filled by Julian Tavarez.

Should be interesting to see who is the next to go when Mike Timlin comes back. I'm still rooting for Javier Lopez.

I would think Corey gets sent down next.

I wish Lopez would get the boot. I just don't like him.

Hope for dominance from Hansen and Gronkiewicz and you may get your wish.

but he is the situational lefty since Oki is the 8th inning guy.

When lefties hit .293 off of you, I'm not so sure you can be called a situational lefty. Maybe he can return to his 2004 form that saw him actually get lefties out.

I'm betting Corey gets sent down because he is always getting called up and sent down. He just seems to be that guy. I too am wishing Lopez would get the boot, b/c he is a lefty that is supposed to get lefties out, but he can't. There is no need for him in middle relief. But he'll stay and Corey will be sent down.

Corey can't be sent down, he's out of options. He'd have to pass waivers and I highly doubt that would happen.
