The Boston Red Sox have had discussions with the Houston Astros about shortstop Miguel Tejada, sources told ESPNdeportes.com's Enrique Rojas.
One source said the conversations between the two teams had just started. Another source, one close to Tejada, said he Red Sox and Astros have been in talks for some time now about a trade.
"I feel good in Houston, but I wouldn't be afraid to accept the challenge of playing in Boston," Tejada said during a telephone interview.

Re: Redsox have interest in Miguel Tejada
It would be interesting. I don't think the Red Sox fans would have a problem with it. I guess it just comes down to what the Sox would have to give up. I hear they are trying to deal Manny Ramirez so maybe Ramirez for Tejada and some other players?

Manny + Lugo for Tejada. Otherwise, go away, Houston. Does anyone really want a guy who is hitting worse than Julio Lugo right now? I mean, really? And you want to give up Manny Ramirez to accomplish this feat?

The Boston Globe says the Red Sox have no interest at all in trading for Miguel Tejada.
ESPN.com added to the Houston Chronicle report, saying the Red Sox had definitely talked to Houston about Tejada. However, team and league sources told the Globe there was no truth to the report. The Globe believes that the Red Sox would be after Doug Brocail if they wanted anyone from the Astros.

^^ In that article, the term baggage was used. And how the sox wanted to stay away from him (somewhat like bonds), no chance tejada ends up here.
I swear Enrique Rojas from espn deportes reports tejada to the red sox at least once a season.

Lowrie is better than every single SS that has been even remotely mentioned in any trade.
