Big blow for the Sox today with the announcement that Wakefield will be going to the DL. Hopefully this is not as serious of an injury as last season for Wake. He's really been pitching well and it's tough to lose him now.
Possible pitchers to fill in would be Devern Hansack or Michael Bowden. Or they could go with Charlie Zink or David Pauley on short rest.
I'd really like to see Bowden pitch a couple games. I think it would have been Zink for sure if he would not be coming off of short rest.

Zink gets the call and will be pitching on three days rest. Im stoked, hopefully he mixes in his 80+MPH fastball a lot.

Zink really has earned it. He's been pitching great. Hopefully that will translate to success with the big club.
