No not a surprise at all really. But still a good move for the Sox. Small dollar amount for a guy that just eats up innings.

Cool. Keep him around until he can't give you a 100 ERA+. Sucks that you need a personal caddy for him, but if you can get a backup catcher better than the **** they've put out there the last 4 years, I like it a lot.
