Looks like we did the right thing in trading him. He was traded for Crisp who was just traded for Ramon Ramierez who by all accounts could be the steal of the offseason.

Yea, this kid never really panned out to be much of anything. We traded Edgar Renteria to the Braves for Marte and Guermo Mota. Then we shipped those two Cleveland to for Coco Crisp, who we traded for Ramon Martinez.

We got Mota along with Crisp from Cleveland. We also sent them Kelly Shoppach who has turned into a starting level catcher

You are right.....
we got Mota form Florida
We traded him weeks later to Cleveland for Crisp
He never played a game for Boston
