Spring training thread

Apparently Papi is looking good and in shape. Definitely a big plus if he can stay that way.

The Dice-K situation is definitely a concern though. I'm not entirely thrilled by him as is and him being injured just continues that.

I'm really not too worried about Dice. I thought after a long season for him he came back pretty strong in the final month. Dice also put the work in at Arizona this year instead of staying in Japan. He's on the Sox system, I wouldn't be too worried about a mid back strain right now.

As for Papi, the jury is still out. Last year he looked pretty good as well and he played like **** for two months.

Yeah that's true about Papi, but as long as he's in good shape we can hope. Plus last year may have been an anomaly. Sometimes when a guy takes a while to get things going he just never feels comfortable and struggles to find a rhythm all season. I'm not saying this is the case, but it's at least a somewhat realistic possibility.

You make a good point. It might have just snowballed on him last year. Your also right it's still a good sign that he came in solid shape.

We just got a glimpse of Beltre's defense during this st. pattys day game. Good arm.
