I am going to get this interview up on Youtube in a few minutes but basically he says he would love to be the Cubs owner and I think he said something about if he gets to own the Cubs he will get season tickets out in the bleachers and sit out there. I haven't listened to it all yet.

Mark Cuban seems determined to buy the cubs.... and him saying hes been to plenty of cubs games and been around wrigleyville seems like he'll do anything to be the cub owner.

If Cuban buys the cubs, they'll win a title inside the decade.

He is savvy and aggressive and we don't have to worry about getting screwed by the owners. I'm sure he would fire jimbo and hire someone the likes of Steve Stone as the GM.

Yup I agree, Hes not worried about the controversial move. If he was he would of never had Avery as his head coach.

I wouldn't mind getting Cuban. I think he would be a great owner. But if not I hope the sale gets completed quickly. I want the Cubs to have a fair chance at getting free agents this winter.

Jim Hendry will get canned over night if this goes down and I will sleep a lot better at night knowing Donuts isn't running the front office.

How about that Jason Kendall trade? Blevins was pitching in the majors down the stretch.

I guess I kinda assumed Jim Hendry was as good as gone regardless of the new owner.

the sad thing about all this is that cub fans back here still support Jim Hendry. Give a GM 300 million dollars to work with as the payroll and i think any GM would be better than JH.

Hendry did a nice job last offseason. Who would have thought Lilly and DeRosa would do so well? I think Hendry should have went after Carlos Lee over Alfonso Soriano but I still like Soriano. Also, the Darryl Ward signing was great. I dislike Hendry because of what he did during the season. He traded Barrett for crap and then he traded that crap for more crap. Craig Monroe and Steve Trachsel were completely useless too.
Why I really dislike Hendry is what he did to us after the 2003 and 2004 run. He completely destroyed that great team.
