Things you won't miss about last year's team

Post#1 » by treyZz » Mon Jan 28, 2008 2:53 am

1) Jacque Jones and his horrendous outfield arm.

2) Jacque Jones and his horrible base running.

3) Will Ohman and his 20-30 feet curve balls.

4) Jacque Jones striking out.

5) Jacque Jones constantly pounding the ball into the ground - usually right at the first basemen.

6) Jacque Jones and his terrible CF defense.

7) Jacque Jones and the dumb faces he makes after doing something incredibly stupid. (Which is often)

8) Michael Barrett in general.

I'm sure I'm missing quite a few.. Feel free to add.

You got a lot, but Jones was much worse playing right field.

1.) I don't have to worry about an injured Cliff Floyd.

2.) Also Mark Prior's injury status.

People thinking the move Lou pulled in the playoffs; taking out Zambrano, was a mistake.

It wasn't.

Zambrano has a tendency to meltdown in high pressure situations after the 6th inning.

Plus, Marmol was the best relief pitcher in baseball that wasn't a closer. I had faith in him. He gave up less than 5 HR all season. I think it was 3?

Jacque Jones.

Michael Wuertz.

About a week before Baroid broke the HR record the Giants were at Wrigley. In the middle of the game Lou put Ohman to match up against Baroid and I knew it was the worst move ever.

Pathetic Ohman.

I was screaming in my seat during that game when he started to trot out to the mound. Everyone behind me yelled at me and told me to sit down. I knew what was coming.

When Baroid came up, I sat down and everybody stood up. Even during the 0--2 count I was still being stubborn and sitting down. I knew. Then BAM! a liner to the oppo field. I stood up and took a bow as another cub fan behind me poured his own beer on his head.

Why? I have no clue.

More painful memories:
-The top of the 9th inning of the Colorado game
-The September game against the Dodgers
-The early season game at Shea Stadium against the Mets.
-Watching Barry hit 2 home runs against us at home and almost blowing that game.
