Aramis works in America and lives in the Dominican. When hes in the Dominican he can live within the realms of his culture, that is fine by me.

Gimme 35+hr and 110+rbi please.

Some people will argue America gives him the ability to receive his large donkey behind contract, but your culture is what makes you you and nobody can take that away from you.

I think he should do justice and respect our culture and refuse any promotional media involving things which are taboo in America. But, and thats a big BUT, he should be able to enjoy his cultural lifestyles.

EDIT: My g/f is a fanatic about supporting the ASPCA and PETA, and I encourage/support her, but culture is a drastically different element.

I can't say I agree with cockfighting. At the same time, if I was in the D.R. and there was a cockfight about to go down, I would probably watch it. Doesn't make it right in my mind, but in the D.R. it is apparently legal.

I hope the entire PETA organization goes down hard.

All those people are freaks and undoubtedly insane.

Solid work BEP - on the potential crazy g/f.

Ehhh, she ain't too bad. Just loves animals.

She's not the kind of PETA person that throws paint on fur coats. But, she did cut off talk with her old roommate because she baught a genetically altered puppy. The little kinds, like 2-4 lbs.

Not to get all controversial with ya'll, but I'm not alright with genetically altered dogs myself. They might be cute, but they're permanently (Please Use More Appropriate Word) forever.(allegedly)

Oh yea.. I know bro. No hard feelings.

I'm use to the 'look' or the 'eye-brow raise' when I tell people my g/f is a PETA and ASCPA supporter.

If you heard some of the jokes I crack at her you'd think I hate animals. I find it all a little too nerdy, but I believe in the cause.

I feel the same way I felt when I read the story about Pedro's cockfighting in the DR - I really couldn't care less.

As long as Aramis follows the laws of this country, when he is in this country, then I am satisfied. I don't really feel that I have the right to judge him harshly for partaking in activities that are common in his home country. That is the issue when you compare Michael Vick to Pedro or Aramis, one broke the law, while the others haven't.

Now if Major League Baseball wants to implement some sort of "character" clause in their contracts that prevents players from participating in things such as this, even if legal, then so be it. They have a right to protect the image of their product if they wish to.

So yeah, I don't really follow the logic that many are using (in the media) when they attempt to group these guys with Michael Vick. Morally maybe it is similar, but it surely isn't legally. Ultimately that is all I really care about. If I worried about every player, in every sport, who did something I didn't agree with morally, I probably wouldn't be able to enjoy sports.
