Rich Hill traded to Baltimore for PTBNL?

According to a report from the Sun-Times, the Cubs have traded Rich Hill to the Orioles for a player to be named later. Once Baltimore clears a roster spot for Rich Hill, who is out of options, the trade will be made official.

Hopefully a change of scenery helps Rich out.

I was about to post this.

This is the same guy a year ago we were debating whether to trade for Erik Bedard and now he is traded for a player to be named later and Felix Pie had more trade value than him.

So if we basically traded him last year we would have Brian Roberts right now.

Rich Hill, Cedeno, Ceda, Pie last year = Roberts
Rich Hill, Cedeno, Ceda, Pie this year = Aaron Heilman and Kevin Gregg.

Yeah, from #3 starter and 200k candidate to traded for ptbnl.

The guy was an old prospect and Hendry wasn't smart enough to trade him while he was a hot commodity when this team needed a lead off hitter.

Gallagher, Hill, Pie all gone and we may have nothing to show for it at the end w/ the way Harden's health looks.

I can't blame Hendry for not trading him last off-season, what happened to him is just plain unlucky for the Cubs.
