Cubs Acquire Grabow/Gorzelanny for Hart/Ascanio/Harrison

If its Jackson/Hart/Ascanio for Grabow/Gorz then I am so not for this deal. Its a lot to give up for a guy who hasn't pitched well since 2006.

Grabow? He's been pretty good the last 2 seasons.

Not a terrible trade. Grabow finally gives us a true lefty reliever and Gorzelanny is having a nice bounceback season at AAA. I don't know why Harrison had to be included, Grabow/Gorzo for Hart/Ascanio seems fair enough to me.

Probably because the Pirates had nothing to lose by making a trade. If they are going to make a deal they want to get good value in return to build up a base for their future.

Yeah I agree. I really didnt like that Harrison was included, but Im not mad about it. Basically we gave up one consensus top 30 prospect in Harrison (who was more in the 20-30 range) and a guy in Kevin Hart who has talent, but is blocked by Z, Harden, Dempster and Wells. I dont mind giving up Ascanio because we got him as a throw in for Will Ohman.
