Mike Quade fired, who should we hire?

Apparently Ryne Sandberg has been informed he is not a candidate.

Some of the names that sound good:
Terry Francona
Dale Sveum (Brewers)
Dave Martinez (Rays)

Even thought it probably isn't going to happen, Joe Maddon would be great.

I know nothing about Martinez, but working under Maddon is good enough for me. I'm not sure about Francona...I kinda doubt Theo wants to work with him again so soon. Not really much of a fresh start.

Honestly, the manager is about 1% as important as the front office overhaul, so barring Dusty Baker, I won't get upset over any hire. Anyone who doesn't bunt all the time is good enough for me.

We can add Mike Maddux on the list of candidates. Doesn't sound like Ryno or Francona are options.

I guess I was wrong. Francona is still a possible option although I'd be a bit surprised if he was the option chosen.

Yeah I don't see Francona becoming our manager unless all these interviewees completely fail their tests.

No Francona, he passed as of today. Maddux is not sure he wants to move his family. Sveum or Alomar seem nect on deck. Would like to seem them get this done in near term.
