What a frustrating month that started off so promising.
We started off the month with a 5 game win streak and then we lost it. Our bullpen started playing awful again in the Phillies and Mets series including two heartbreaking losses. Then we played great in the White Sox series exposing their crappy bullpen. After the White Sox series we had trouble scoring runs. We were 20-22 going out of the White Sox series and by the end of the month we were 22-29 going 2-7 after that series and here we stand currently on June 2nd 22-31 meaning we are 2-9 since that great White Sox series. The main problem is when we score a lot of runs our bullpen finds a way to blow it. When our starting pitching does fantastic we can't score any runs. Also we are waiting too long in the game to score runs. It seems our offense comes alive in the 9th inning down 5 when we are already done. We need to get off to big leads early. Also another thing I noticed was we are hitting the ball hard but it seems like we always hit it right at a fielder. We need to learn how to hit gaps. Lou is not going to give up with us being only 8 games out of 1st. Hopefully the Barrett/Zambrano fight fires this team up or we are done.

Two key series in June will be the Brewers series in Milwaukee because if we take 2 out of 3 it will help us gain a few games in the standings. Of course, the White Sox series has to be noted since it is such a big series for this series. If we take 2 out of 3 we win the season series and get bragging rights up to next year.

Come on guys, we have the talent to win let's do it.
