What is up with the Brewer fans?

They are making fun of us and our city on their own board talking about how we haven't won a World Series in 99 years.

Trivia Question:
When was the last time the Brewers won a World Series?:
A) 1907
B) 1974
C) 1987
D) 1899
E) Never

If you guessed E you are correct. In fact, the Brewers have never won a World Series. THE ONLY TIME THEY HAVE BEEN TO A WORLD SERIES WAS IN 1982!!!

Despite us being in a 99 year drought, the Brewers are on their way. They haven't won a title in their 37 year career.

Seriously, I wouldn't care if the Yankees or Cardinal fans came over here to talk trash but seriously, Brewer fans?

So you can only handle the bashing from teams with losing records like you all.
Hey buddy I think you guys should stop worrying so much about us...or wait you should worry cause you almost 10 games back...But this happens for every series for Cubs Vs. Brewers It's a rivalry We hate Chicago and yall hate Milwaukee. It is just a part of the sport which I believe makes it a little more interesting.

I go to Wrigley for Cubs Vs. Brewers and I get harrased and booed and everything else. Cubs fans come to Miller Park and they get the same treatment its just part of the fun for the fan. The same thing would probally happen in the NBA if the Bucks were not the most incompetent Organization in the world.

These are the same fans who started the "Brewers are the best team in baseball" thread in the general froum as well.

Wisconsin is a terrible sports state.. Packers/Bucks/Brewers.. I would be upset if I had to watch those 3 teams all year long as well.

Cubs will take 2/3 in the series and the Brewers will tank away that division lead.

No those were the people on realgm which is about .05% of the fan base.

That just sounds (Please Use More Appropriate Word)!

Kinda hard to tank a division lead if no one else in the division can win.
No way cubs win 2 they will be lucky to win 1 But you never know it is baseball, But I will be at all three games harrasing every poor fool that was born into the lifestyle of rooting for the cubs.

Go ahead and harass the Cubs fans. They will still outnumber the Brewers fans there

Usually that is the case but not this time around. Brewers fans are coming out in full for this one. You have to remember that this is the first time since like 92' that the brewers have good team and the assumption on the sports radio shows is that the fan base will be about 70% brewers 30% cubbies.

That is just the type of stuff that happens when ur in the small market.
Its part of the game the same thing happens to Royals Cardinals games.

But I enjoy going to a game where there is more tension it almost gives it a playoff feel.

Another reason why cubs fans are at Miller park in abundance is that they pay 3X face value for the tickets. I know I used to sell my cubs tickets to the Cubs fans If they wanna pay I let em sit in my seats. But not anymore now this has finally turned to a real rivalry which Bud selig tried to shove down our throat the past 5 years. So all in all whatever happens happens Im ready.

I didn't realize there was any animosity and I just assumed it was a few bad seeds here who probably commit the same trollish acts on the NBA/NFL board.

That said, I still don't have a problem with the Brewers and wish them the best. I have several friends from the UP in Michigan who are Brewers fans due to the proximity, and aside from ribbing each other (in good fun of course), we're usually rooting for each other when we aren't playing each other.

The only baseball teams I have a deep hatred for are the White Sox and Cardinals. I don't much care for the NY teams and the Astros, but not nearly to the point I do the Sox/Cards.

Exactly
It just feels like they are trying to start a war with us when we could care less about them.
They are doing this because they don't have any big time rivals so they go after us.
Rather have them win a World Series than the Cardinals.

Brew City, we aren't talking about you, we are talking about that thread at the Brewers board that reads "What do you hate most about the Cubs" and another thread "The Cubs are a mess".

This is the post in that What do you hate most about the Cubs thread and it sickens me:

There are many many possible responses to the question. I'll start it off. I hate them for the same reason I hated Red Sox fans for the longest time, and that is they make up excuses for why its damn near a century in between their championships. Most Brewer fans can admit that the team has just been trash for the last 15 years, while Cubs and Red Sox fans make up stupid curses and use one of their own fellow fans as a scapegoat for their team being choke artists. Everyone else, fire away.

P.S. It would be sweet if we could turn this into a Cubs and city of Chicago bashing thread. Hell, even the state of Illinois can be thrown into the mix.

Recently you guys haven't been playing well either.

I agree that is a pretty stupid post. I understand much more clearly now. Sorry for the confusion no need for bashing when not needed.

I agree we havent been playing that well but all of are recent troubles have came against very quality teams on the road. So to tell you the truth I am not to worried about the Crew...Yet. But as far as that post that was written on our board I understand why u are upset and I would be to if I were you. THat was uncalled for even if it was on our board.

Anyway all is good I am about to go start my pregame warm-up (here in Milwaukee that is usually MGD and a Polish) So good luck to ur team just not for the next three days.....lol

I think they fined Zambrano.
No way they are suspending him.

I don't think people realize that fights between teammates is not that uncommon in a major league clubhouse. This stuff is handled in-house, for good reason. Last thing we need is the Cubs PR to alert the media that they're suspending Z for however many games and ESPN goes bananas with it.

All is well, there were apologies before the next game and they seemed genuine. All that occurred was two extremely competitive guys reaching a boiling point.

All that said, I'd still like to see Zambrano moved.

I have a friend that goes to the University of Wisconsin.

I partied up there one time and needless to say I had a great time and it was a great college town. That is a great school.

Return to Chicago Cubs
