- hasn't won in 17 starts (since last august) - 13 consecutive starts allowing 2 earned runs or fewer (second longest since 1913) - cubs are 1-9 in his starts this year - mlb best 1.46 era
can a guy get some run support! he's setting himself up to be traded nicely though (and we could get a ton back for him if he keeps this up)
The other thing that makes me feel bad is he's handling it like such a professional. Saying all the right things. His being such a stand up leader in this makes it even crappier we can't score runs when he pitches.
i think he knows he's pitching for a new contract (and possibly a new team) and he's handling himself accordingly (still good for him that he's been able to do that)
i hope he can keep it up for a whole year and not fall a part in the second half like last year
