Hill/Marshall back to back? (good/bad)

Post#1 » by m4rcj3sus » Sun Jul 1, 2007 3:55 am

i think that having 2 lefties with similar styles going back to back is a bad idea. even if they were both pitching great, you need to give your opponent a change of pace.

do you guys think that the rotation should be shuffled to seperate these guys, hopefully after the allstar break it will get to l,r,l,r,l

lilly, z, hill, marquis, marshall would be ideal.

especially when it seems like every team in the league is dominating left handed pitching. :banghead:

I think Lou is going to switch around the rotation before the All-Star game because Zambrano might make the All-Star team.

Toni Ginnetti, of the Chicago Sun-Times, reports Chicago Cubs manager Lou Piniella will try to change the rotation schedule so SP Carlos Zambrano can pitch in the All-Star Game. Without a change to the rotation, Zambrano would pitch Sunday, July 10, making him unlikely to be available to participate in the All-Star Game if he is selected to the National League roster. The team's day off Thursday, June 28, would allow the Cubs to move up Zambrano's pitching days without shortening his days off. "If we can change things around, that would be fine with me. I would rather have my pitcher in that game. It's an honor. I voted for him on my ballot. I would like to see as many Cubs players as possible," Piniella said.

Nailed it right there.

But both were bad against Milwaukee.
