Cliff Floyd... (Part II)

Post#1 » by SportsWorld » Sun Sep 2, 2007 7:32 pm

He has been a great pick-up.
I love all the men he leaves on base and all the pitches he swings and misses at that were in the dirt.
I guess Hendry just signed him so they can both share a passion of the Baconator.

(Please play Murton, Pie, and Ward over him)

How many outfielders do we have?

Murton
Soriano
Pie
Ward
Jones
Monroe
Floyd

That is 7. Plus Derosa played there a bit and Theriot played there earlier this season.

Beginning of the year i was going to write something about cliff being the most useless aquisition of the summer and that Jacque Jones should take his spot because of cliff's power outage and is a defense liability = useless baseball player on earth, but then i knew if i wrote this down i was going to get flamed like no other because of the lack of jacque jones fans and taking him over cliff "useless fat pig" floyd. Don't get more wrong i thought jacque jones was the worse thing ever but he played better D than cliff.

Cliff Floyd is possibly the most useless player in baseball, well, next to Capuano. Why he continues to play baffles me. I will give him credit, though, for his ability to hit that scorching line drive foul ball 20 feet to the right of first base. Extend the lines a bit and he would make a good acquisition.
