Need to get into their bullpen.

JJ needs to go bye-bye. I'd really rather see Pagan out there if I have to choose.

Double-A left-hander Jeremy Blevins, who has a 0.98 ERA with 24 strikeouts at Tennessee

Jeremy Blevins is a promising prospect.... this deal was damn near useless... Jason Kendall is on his way down unless a miracle happens... and how the heck are we gonna take on his huge contract.... thanks Hendry you failed us once again. LOSE some damn weight.

I think Blevins is a pretty good minor league relief pitcher, I think I remember seeing his name brought up somewhere on the board over the last few days.

We won't be paying much of Kendall's salary. A's will likely pick up some of it, and the Pirates are paying about $5M of it already.

Two days after signing C Joe Girardi, the Yankees send back-up catcher Jim Leyritz to the Angels in exchange for minor leaguers Ryan Kane and Jeremy Blevins

So unless this guy has found the fountain of youth... this was a nice trade for Hendry.
