Lou said we are going to probably use a 6 man starting rotation now.

Not too good. Trachsel's been hot, and Cherry and Moore weren't worth much anyway...but what is this trade even for? Could we not have packaged those two for anything better than this guy?

What an absolute disgrace of a trade.

NO ONE can logically sit here and defend this trade as a good one. If we're moving to a 6 man rotation why not give Gallagher a shot? Throw him in between Hill & Marshall & see what he can do. Lou has been licking his chops to give him a start, yet we trade for an old, washed up scrub?

Trachsel is terrible. He walks a ton of people and doesn't strike anyone out. What a disgrace of a trade. I am absolutely shocked.

Now with that said Cherry & Moore were probably not in this teams future plans, but for Trachsel? The Mets just gave this scrub away and look at there pitching rotation. Enough said.

Also, you guys realize this trade was solely made so he can pitch that make up StLouis game right? Hendry felt the need to give up 2 players instead of letting Gallagher get a shot. Unbelievably dumb.

If Hendry gets an extension next year I may just stop following baseball all together.

Jim tone down on the calorie in take and get a **** clue.

What TreyZz said.. i really couldn't believe JH made this trade.. we traded the bum for a reason... if it didn't work out for him once here.. it won't work out for him again.. Honestly we have to let go of Jim Hendry if we ever want to win a World series and that's what i really believe.. As long as JH is in office A world series in the north side is a pipe dream.

He didn't have a bad game last night. He pitched better last night than Marshall has pitched all season.
Too bad certain players (Jacque Jones, Jason Kendall) couldn't drive in any runs.

6 Innings pitched...3 earned runs...7 hits and a walk is better than Marshall has pitched all season???

That is a 4.50 era...

Considering Marshalls season era is 3.98 it seems logical he has pitched some better games than that...in fact I will bet well over half of Marshalls starts are better than Trachsels performance last night.

The facts...Marshall has had 19 starts this year...12 were better than Trachsels...7 worse. Add the fact that LA is not a good offensive team especially when facing left handed pitching...12th in the league vs LHP (8th vs RHP). It is likely we would have been better off with Marshall starting last night.

Trachsel is worthless...I see no positives adding him to the roster.
