Good Moves: Ted Lilly, Jason Marquis, Mark DeRosa, Darryl Ward, Cliff Floyd (off-season)
Bad Moves: Craig Monroe, Steve Trachsel, Jason Kendall, Cliff Floyd (he's good 1/2 of the time) (this season)

Make a thread on the Bulls board and say "Join us for the playoff push" or something like that and leave a link. Maybe a mod will sticky it.

Actually that will end up with a lock and a suspension.

Well they did that for the NFL boards, and that traffic has increased.

I would wait until next week, IF or when we clinch. It will be useless if we go home disappointed.

You left off DeRosa (I think Soriano is a push right now). Kendall's been a very good move so far, and Monroe is definitely an INC. The man's only had about 30 at-bats in a Cubs uniform, and anyway he cost us nothing. Trachsel I'll agree,

Floyd has been the most so/so for me. Some days he looks great, others he is just awful.
The best moves have been the minor leaguers and young guys with help from Theriot, Hill, Marmol, Fontenot (for a bit), and Soto (recently).

putting aside the ridiculous amount of money spent on soriano... the cubs would be nowhere w/out him right now.... when he got hot in july, the cubs got hot... when he was injured, the cubs struggled... but overall, i think derosa and lilly are my new favorite cubs players... Lilly is the man

I should paste a picture Ted Lilly over Big Z in my signature. I have more trust in Lilly now, our #1 starter!

Have you been in a coma the past 2-3 years?

Hendry is indeed fat & deserves all the criticism for the train wreck teams he has put together as of late.

Wow, what a constructive post. Thanks for illustrating why more people don't post on this board.

Hendry's being fat has nothing to do with how good or bad a GM you think he is.

And you can hate him if you want, but the Cubs have contended for the division title 3 of the last 5 years. Have you been a Cubs fan long? Because that's as good as the franchise has done in about 35 years.

I think Hendry's only an average GM, but I'm forced to defend him on this board from the lynch mob that thinks he's the worst GM in the history of any sport, and attacks his appearance when they aren't knowledgeable enough to attack his baseball moves.

i'm a hendry supporter... just look at aram, lofton, dlee, nomar, randall simon, traschel gave us a huge start last week, i didn't mind the juan pierre trade cuz we needed a cf and leadoff man... everyone here acts like only hendry makes the decisions and that lou has nothing to do w/ them...

Hendry has given up too much talent for nothing. We basically gave up Juan Pierre for 3 prospects last year, and he has been trading minor leaguers here and there for Trachsel and Monroe, who have been crap thus far.
But overall he is an above-average GM. He tries to get every move he wants. Sometimes that can bite you in the rear end though.
