Honestly, what was the point of trying to take third on that? I see no potential benefit that would have made taking that risk worth it. Stupid.

Down by three, bottom of the 9th, two on, no outs. Why risk getting thrown out at third? It isn't as if they were trailing by a single run. You would have needed two more anyway Fontenot. The ball got away from the catcher and Fontenot apparently thought it got away far enough to try to take third. He was wrong.
