Pirates lose. Pirates get swept. Expect them to take 2 of 3 against us.

Brewers winning again. Mets winning as well so if the scores hold we have the Mets are 9.5 behind us.

If the Cubs go 11-17 (95-67), MIL needs to finish 19-10 to win the NL Central - STL 22-6/PHI 23-5 to beat the Cubs out for the Wild Card
Cubs go 12-16 (96-66), MIL needs to finish 20-9 to win the NL Central - StL 23-5/PHI 24-4
Cubs go 13-15 (97-65), MIL needs to finish 21-8 to win the NL Central - StL 24-4 / PHI 25-3
Cubs go 14-14 (98-64), MIL needs to finish 22-7 to win the NL Central - StL 25-3 / PHI 26-2
Cubs go 15-13 (99-63), MIL needs to finish 23-6 to win the NL Central - StL 26-2 / PHI 27-1
Cubs go 16-12 (100-62), MIL needs to finish 24-5 to win the NL Central - StL 27-1 / PHI 28-0
Cubs go 17-11 (101-61), MIL needs to finish 25-4 to win the NL Central - StL 28-0

Yeah I don't see us choking this one away.

Sheets left with tightness in his left groin. Doesn't sound good but he was shutting out the hapless Muts.

don't know if you guys have talked about this but, should CC have gotten that no-hitter?
its a tough call, and if the brewers are going to make this a big deal that can only be good for us, them not focusing properly and all right?

Even if they change the call it taints the no-hiiter. All the pressure of preserving the no-hitter went away when the hit went up on the board.
I still think it was a horrible call though.

Interesting fact... 2005 whitesox started struggling exactly the same time we are in right now... but then they caught fire at the last 6 games in the final season.. and who did they beat? the very own team that was chasing them.. they swept the indians (look at our schedule we face the brewers).. however... we're the cubs and were going to be the mets of 2007.

Padres and Brewers tied at 2 in a game CC started. Wow if the Brewers lose another one.
