Keep Castro leading off. Get him as many ABs as possible in a season that doesn't matter.

Did you see Chris De Luca's tweet before the game?

#Cubs mgr Mike Quade puts Starlin Castro in leadoff spot 3rd game into season. Keep him there. Flopping could be Corey Patterson 2.0.

Ridiculous.

considering that the division appears to be mediocre at best, i'm still holding out hope. there's 159 more games to play. the cubs are solid in arguably every category but they just haven't produced yet, especially offensively.

byrd's approach at the plate bothers me. he is way too aggressive. he needs to be a little more patient and look at more pitches. every at bat this series his approach was to swing at the first pitch. idk if he is not confident in his swing or he just wants to be extremely aggressive, but he needs to be patient. even soriano is taking more pitches than our 3rd hitter. the last at bat in sunday's game was the perfect example. why would u swing at that inside fastball. all he did was get gemed and grounded softly to one of the infielders.
