Apparently the D-backs know when to pull their pitcher and use the pinch hitter.

Yeah, Lou definitely has to get the blame for this. He's playing as if we're guaranteed of needing Z in 3 or 4 games, whereas if we blow this one we might already be too deep in a hole by Game 4 for it to make a difference.

I'm sure Dumpster would have been just as good.
He gave up 4 runs against Reds scrubs on Sunday

Honestly, that can't be blamed on Jacque. I hate him as much as anyone, but that was probably the best throw that piece of trash has ever made. Just too deep.

Poor game management by Lou. I won't often say that... but when I find myself second guessing his decisions... and I know about 1/5th of all the cumulative baseball knowledge that Lou has forgotten... then there is a problem.

Z was dealing. You don't get that every game. We took it for granted and put ourselves in a huge hole by not taking advantage of it.

That's exactly the problem.

One of the main reasons why Sports Illustrated picked us (jinxed us?) in early July to win it all was b/c of our relief pitching, which at the time looked very strong. Now, not only is Dumpster sucking *ss but if Marmol starts biting it then we might as well bid our hopes goodbye right now.
