Vitters is actually doing really well in single A right now. Cubs are just bringing him up slowly something I really don't agree with although we do have Aramis for a few more seasons at 3B. Vitters needs to improve on his plate discipline. I think he has like 3 walks all season.

I just want to point out how well Arthur Rhodes has pitched this year.

2.70 ERA, 7.0 K/9, 2.0 BB/9. In a hitters park.

He was cheap and available as a free agent. I posted multiple times that I wanted to sign him. Hendry knew Cotts was our only bullpen lefty. And he still did nothing to improve the situation. Cotts sucks and always will.

I know Marshall is in the pen now, but using him to get one tough lefty out is a waste. Pretty much every move in the last couple offseasons has been terrible.

3-0 Phils on a Feliz 2 run single.

I really think we'll be in first by tomorrow night.

One of the morons on Baseball Tonight said to watch out for the Pirates in the NL Central race because they have a ton of bats in their lineup. Yeah most of them will be gone within a week.

Mark Buehrle was perfect going into the 6th inning last night. That broke a record for consecutive batters retired. Crazy stuff.

Good thing we got more left-handed this offseason.

LaTroy Hawkins-
“I thought it was a strike,” Hawkins said. “And I told (Everitt), ‘Come on, I need that pitch.’ He don’t need any help.’ He said, ‘Knock it off.’ I waved him off, and he threw me out of the game. Maybe he was having a bad day. I thought he had determined who he wanted to win the game anyway.”
