3 prospects for Gorzo is a good trade IMO. Sad we didn't get Bryce Harper though.

This does seem like a good trade, regardless of how good the prospects maybe. I doubt Marshall starts. If Grabow can contribute the cowboys can try Russell as a starter. Dont even be surprised if we eat a lot of Fukudome's money to get a lefty starter. Especially with Reed Johnson aboard fukudome becomes more expendable.

Burgess is a nice pickup considering we got Gorzo when he had no value.

He was the Nats 7th best prospect.

I think they've been planning to dump Fukudome this year, for awhile now. He's your typical dream addition for another team at the deadline. High OBP, good fielder, lefty bat...

i don't understand the need for a starting left-handed pitcher. what difference does having one versus zero make? i know the importance of lefty relievers because you can play matchups in crucial at bats. but when you get a pitcher you want someone who can produce the most outs with the least amount of runs given up, meanwhile eating up innings.

I agree.

Garza
Dempster
Zambrano
Cashner
Wells/Silva

Is the rotation in my eyes. I'm not going to force Russell in because he's a lefty. I'd use Silva as a 6th starter/swingman. When Cashner approaches his innings limit, he could take his starts.

I like:
1. Zambrano
2. Garza
3. Dempster
4. Wells
5. Cashner

With Silva hopefully doing a solid job in the long relief role.

Are there any teams in the majors who don't have a left handed starter?

Cardinals didn't have one for years until last year with Garcia.

Maybe there's hope we can trade Soriano. The Angels traded for Vernon Wells and didn't get any money in return. What an awful move.

And they got back a good offensive catcher and a solid corner OF bat. What were the Angels thinking?

The Cubs and right-handed pitcher Todd Wellemeyer have agreed to terms on a one-year, $800,000 contract, according to a source.

The minor league contract includes a chance to make $400,000 in incentives.

Most of the home games are played during the day (afternoon) but there are some played at night (very few)

I would say 3 hours approximately

If you're visiting from out of the country for a one time thing, I would recomend going to a Cubs game in the summer, unless you're a diehard hockey fan and really want to see the Blackhawks. Both are fun, just different experiences.

Eh, I'd say 20ish but its all dependent on traffic

hopefully anybody can give me some answers!

thanks

thank you Kerr

I'll be for the second time in Chicago to watch the Bulls(from germany)....and this time I would like to see more Chicago teams.

I have a ticket for the Blackhawks game(Wednesday April 6, 2011) vs. St. Louis at 7pm and I also want to watch the cubs against D-backs at the same day. I have just seen that the cubs game is at 1:30pm....thats great I can easily watch both games - hopefully I can buy a ticket for the cubs soon!

The Cubs don't play any night games on Friday's and Saturday's and normally on Sunday's. Saturday start times are normally 12:00 but if it's a FOX game, it'll start at 3:00. Friday and Sunday games start at 1:20. Night games start at 7:05.

In terms of Blackhawks vs Cubs, it's all personal opinion. I like both but I'd prefer to go to a Cubs game.

Personally I'm prefering a Cubs game, too. Awesome that I can make both games!

The Cubs invited Augie Ojeda to Spring Training and signed Braden Looper. Think we have the World Series on lock now.

There's really no bad seat at Wrigley unless you're behind a pole (most of the 500 level seats) or under the covering (most of the higher 200 level seats, you can't see fly balls or the scoreboard because of the covering).
