It normally takes hours for the Cubs to get runners in from 3rd.

Mike Quade might be the most idiotic manager the Cubs has had and that includes having Baker, Baylor and Kimm. I so can't wait till Mike Quade takes his bald-ass self back to AAA where he belongs.

Mike Quade is such a dumbass. Having Koyie Hill hit in that spot was one of the most idiotic moves of all-time.

Garza must have pissed someone off cause he went from pitching for an up and coming Twins team to pitching for a team thisclose to winning the World Series to know pitching for a bottom three team in baseball.

is anybody still surprised that Jim Hendry is still the GM of the cubs!?!? is this = organization still that clueless that he is the culprit of the calamity? now we have an incompetent owner whose completely oblivious to the struggles of the cubs and seems like his main agenda is too suck as much money out of our pockets. Folks i really don't know when this is going to end, and it depressing.

I am. Despite a few good trades (Lee, ARam, Garza) and a decent signings (DeRosa/Lilly) Hendry has been pretty abysmal as GM. No other organization would allow their GM to hire 4 different managers ( 2 full time managers-Baker/Piniella, a interim turned manager-Quade, and a interim manager-Kimm) with minimum success rate. Most GM's get at most 2 managers and Hendry has gotten 4?

As for calling Ricketts an "incompetent owner", I would hold off on that for the time being. Ricketts said at the beginning that he was going to take the year to see the day-to-day operations of the club, to see his employees doing their job. I am pretty sure that one year evaluation is nearly up and I suspect you might see some changes in the coming weeks.

Polanco too? Neither Polanco or Chipper deserve to be at the All-Star Game. Voter can be really stupid sometimes.

-----------

And the Cubs still can't get that elusive 3 game winning streak. I can't remember a Cubs team I dispised more than this team.

Kerry Wood got left out there WAY too long yesterday. I wonder if Quade forgets sometimes that he's the manager, and it's his job to manage the game. I swear, sometimes it's like he's sitting in the dugout still expecting Lou to make a decision for him.

Sean Marshall should have never been pulled. He had 2 outs with a guy on 2nd. All he needed to do was get one out and the inning was over.

Ramon Ortiz had a decent start last night, after his first inning. Too bad our offense could only score 2 runs.

Jeff Baker left the game with back spasms, and is now being listed as day-to-day.
