and this was arrieta's first start of the year, and the bullpen looking good is even more encouraging

if the offense continues to click things could get very interesting this year

also first 3 game win streak of the year and we'll have our first series win of the year

Encouraging signs. Think the pitching staff is starting to slot nicely if Arietta can stay healthy as Villanueva to the pen is good and Rondon could be effective as a closer.

Be nice to see another guys step up. Big game for Lake, which makes me wonder if we'll see him again today. As I said before to see what we got we need to give him and Kalish more time in the OF.

Called it that we wouldn't see Lake start after a good game. Guy had a great year last year after his call up so I don't see why we're not trying to figure out if he's part of the long term.

Am I just down on Renteria, or is it typical for a closer to pitch 3 games in a row anymore?

couldn't get the sweep, rondon becomes a true cubs closer by blowing a game
