It's going to be rough the rest of the way. Arrieta will probably be the only consistently good starter. Wood has been up and down this year. EJax has just had all sorts of rough luck since joining the Cubs. I'm not expecting the rookies to be good every time out.

Did they announce who's going to be taking Shark and Hammels spot officially yet?

tsuyoshi wada is getting called up to start one of the games on tuesday but it doesn't look like it will be permanent (like beeler)

they are bringing another bullpen guy up tomorrow (sunday), probably have villanueva be one of the starters and maybe rotate guys from the minors around in the 5th spot until they settle on someone?

Yeah, Villaenueva and rotating minor leaguer seemed like the way they'd likely go. Was hoping they'd just say Beeler did good enough to deserve a shot and let's put in strailly. I think he will wind up here sooner than later.

cubs lost, but another great start for arrieta - his era is down to 1.78
