all-star thread

here is the nl team

he's the only cub, although it looks like shark was going to make it but that's not happening any more - would he have still been on the team if he had been traded to an nl team?

just noticed that rizzo is in the group to vote on for the final roster spot
also baez (world) and bryant (u.s.) are in the futures game

Bryant was in the Southern League (AA) all-star game right before he was promoted. He also won the HR derby. Alcantara is on the AAA all-star team.
I believe Samardzija would have still be in the game if he had gone to another NL team. If they don't trade Samardzija then Castro probably doesn't make it. He made it over HanRam, which he probably doesn't if the Cubs had another player on the team. Each team has to have at least one player on the team.
