Throw in the rape accusation and there is a lot of smoke around Castro. Theo has said he won't be traded this off-season. If Castro gets himself locked up trading him won't be an option. Castro's agent said he was at a concert with his family and had no involvement. We'll have to see how it plays out.

Good find. I have not seen this story on espn and I haven't looked much elsewhere but it seems to be a non story?? Who knows. I never did and still don't feel that Castro is the player they hyped him to be. He was just at the right place with a good season at the right time to get the marketing department behind him.

Biggest problem with Castro is you still see those stupid concentration lulls in his defense. If he hasn't figured it out by now, I don't think he's ever going to figure it out.

A second shooting. The police raided his house early in the morning. Lots of smoke around Castro, but so far no fire. Hopefully Bryant and Russell will come up and show what they need to along with Baez clicking and they can move Castro at the deadline or early next off-season. Castro is a talented player, but you don't need the headaches of a guy that will be in and out of trouble every off-season. Once incident is a fluke, two is coincidence and three is a pattern. This is his third in the last year.

And Castro has started looking for a home in Arizona to move his family to. FO was pissed about the situation and Castro's agent was concern that if Castro doesn't move out of the DR (his been the target of blackmail, etc in his home country) he might become another casualty. So Castro is in the process of trying to find a home in Arizona.

Castro needs to get his family out of the DR. It is similar to Henry Blanco a few years ago who had a family member kidnapped to extort ransom money. I'm giving Castro the benefit of the doubt on this, but he needs to get his family out of the DR.
