The pen is very concerning. They were key to a great April, so hopefully they can get back on track.

I'm just glad it's almost mid-May and they're over .500. The Cardinals showed this week how far the Cubs still have to go to get to that next level.

And the bullpen is god awful. That's going to be the dagger if they don't figure it out and soon.

I just want a respectable team this season. Wild Card contention next year and actual WS aspirations by 2017. I'm enjoying this ride.

Yeah. I'd love to see more, but realistically hoping for wild card contention.

I could get really used to these back-to-back jacks into the bleachers (or beyond) from Bryant & Rizzo.

Cubs really needed that win last night. With Arrieta going against a rookie today they need to pick up another one today. They need to a series win over the Mets after the slide they had against the Brewers and Cardinals. Hopefully the bullpen will pick things up with Grimm back and Ramirez about to return. Would really like to see Wada take a rotation spot and send Wood to the bullpen.

The back end of the rotation, Wood and Hendricks, has been bad. Hendricks could develop into a solid pitcher, but he is showing that he is young and doesn't have great stuff or pin point control. Wood is just making it clear that 2013 was a fluke and the Cubs need to find another quality starter.

That game from Bryant (and Arrieta too) was phenomenal. I like where this is going.

Nice win tonight. Playing the Mets has been a nice way to recover from the Brewers and Cardinals. Hopefully they will complete the sweep.
