Cool "Thanks Chicago" from Starlin in PT

Post#1 » by ATRAIN53 » Wed Jan 6, 2016 9:39 pm

Published to Jeters Players Tribune today-

Reading that just makes me more angry we traded the kid.

After losing the shortstop job in August, I hit .426 in September at second base. Out of all of my accomplishments as a Cub, that is the one I hope people talk about when they look back on my career: That in a situation where some players would have checked out, I kept my head up and worked even harder. I didn’t just say, “I want to help the team win.” I actually helped the team win.

and I love that Reggie Jackson called him to welcome him to NY. That was my idol too!

And hey — maybe I’ll still visit sometime.

How’s October?

That was good read - thanks for posting. I didn't realize he had such a good September. I hope he does well - except when playing against the sox's.

with the cubs giving back Warren it means that we gave Castro to the Yankees for nothing

It means we gave them Castro as part of the package for Chapman. Although, giving him away for nothing would still be better than having on the roster.
