I won't even be able to watch on TV for most of this season. I moved during the off-season and decided I didn't want to afford mlb.tv this year and I don't have a tv set up for the nationally televised games right now. We'll see how long I can go after watching 150+ games the last few years with mlb.tv.

One game in and one error on Schwarber resulting in one unearned run. I can't believe they still haven't accepted the reality that they need to trade him.

we'll have to go through a year of 'new look' schwarber to see if there is any improvement

i will give him some kudos, he does look good and very different

17 innings! I left in the 14th. Got my money's worth on the tickets, not so much on the $13 beers, crazy prices on food & drinks.

It is one outing. I didn't see it, but I'm not worried about it. I'm not worried about Lester or Quintana either. If they are sitting with ERAs around 4.50 in June I'll start to be concerned.

should we be worried about the offenses feast or famine routine? that's got a trend that's been going on for a while now

It's too early to worry about anything. We know they will be a top offense. We know what the veteran pitchers should do. It is going to take a lot more then 4 games to get me to be concerned. Get back with me after 50 games and we'll see how things are looking. Right now they just need to get into the flow of the season and win games. If they are 25-25 then I'll start to be concerned. If they are 35-15 I won't care if they didn't score in those 15 games because they will be consistently, 70% of the time, scoring enough.

The pitching seems to be trying to do their part. Need to put the Pirates back in their place.

I'm not happy with how this season is starting. However, I also realize it doesn't matter much at this point as long as it finishes the right way.
