Key players for the Pirates:
Jacque Jones.

Seeing as he leaves 10 men on base every game.

That's a pretty tough stretch. I said before the Pirates/Nats stretch that we needed to be above .500 after it if we wanted to do anything this season, but I'm not sure what to hope for from the rest of the month.

In any case, if we falter I'm not going to panic. We'll still have a lot of home games during the summer against our weak division.

Brewers are in the same boat, 15 of their next 18 are away or something like that. Similar opponents as well; this could be a very telling stretch.

13 of the next 20 on the road...its a rough stretch but the cubs are what 8-5 on the road this season so it could turn out alright

Pirates up 2-0 already.

1st inning, nobody out, runner on second.

Another great start from Big Z. :x

Aramis with a dinger, 3-1 Pirates.

Thankfully, Big Z appears to have settled in.

4-1.

Murton drops a flyball with 2 outs to allow a run home. BAH.

OK I have to say it. Zambrano sucks! There I feel better. He's got alot of catching up to do in May if he wants to keep up with previous years.

So far, this game sucks.

6-1 Pirates. Cubs offense has been dreadful, grounding into 3 double-plays already.

Zambrano has allowed 13 runs in 8 first innings to date. :blank:

Shocking another loss?

Maybe Lou should field the team that gives the Cubs the best chance to win.
