Memorable CUBS moment-
http://chicago.about.com/cs/sport1/a/2003_Cubs.htm
On March 31, 2003, the Cubs played their season opener against the Mets in New York.
The score:
Cubs: 15
Mets: 2
The Cubs scored four runs in the first inning. (The only other time in Cubs' history the team scored four, or more, runs in the first inning on Opening Day was in 1892. The Cubs, still known as the White Stockings at the time, were playing against St. Louis, and the final score was 14-10.) It could be said the game ended the same "miraculous" way it began, since the last time the Cubs scored 15 runs on Opening Day was in 1899. (The Cubs were playing against Louisville then, and the final score was 15-1.)

Relief pitcher Juan Cruz struck out six consecutive batters in the sixth and seventh innings. The only other time a Cubs' relief pitcher struck out six batters in a row was on September 8, 1977, and the pitcher was Bruce Sutter.

Second baseman Mark Grudzielanek had three hits in his first game as a Chicago Cub. The last time a Cubs player had three hits in his first game was in 1995. (The three-hit player in that instance was Brian McRae.)

Corey Patterson's seven RBI set a new record for Opening Day. (The earlier record was five RBI and had been set by Ernie Banks against Philadelphia in 1969.)

Ways we can lose this ball game:
-Another walk-off walk
-Blown Lead
-No run support
-Walk off homer
-Walk off hit
-We don't show up
-Alien Attack
-Eddy Chubby eats all our players in New York

Zambrano always pitches well against us but, the game is at Shea so we stand a much better chance at winning this one.

What has been Zambrano's problem so far this season? I noticed he's already given up 10 hr's? Also I noticed he really hasn't gone long in too many games this season. I see Lou keeps taking him out after 6 innings. Does he have an injury?

What I'm thinking is, and I don't know this for sure, just a guess but, could it be he's pitching "safe" and not really airing it out because he doesn't want to get hurt? You know, because he's still looking for a big contract?

I think the contract situation has taken his focus off the game.

I think so too. He probably thinks that he has too much to lose if he says something. As long as he gets healthy before he signs with us...
