Breaking News: Sean Gallagher up

Post#1 » by RyGuy24 » Tue Jun 5, 2007 11:03 pm

Gallagher is big league bound according to his dad who posts on another board. He will meet the team in Milwaukee soon.

Now we wait to see the corresponding roster move? Gallagher is not on the 40 man, so a trade may be likely. It could also mean Eyre or someone is let go.

Wow this is big news... wonder who is going/traded/odd man out?

Up as a reliever right? Marshall is doing a bang up job at the 5 spotter.

I'd guess as a reliever, but it would be a little wierd since Gallagher has started his whole life. Ironically, Gallaghers next day to throw would be tommorrow, also Big Z's day to through. I'd guess we might have suspended Z for a start possibly. Though everyone will probably say "Z's TRADED" ;)

nsbb (forum)

Bruce Miles says Eyre has not been DFA'd, so scratch that.

Sean's dad says he will pitch out of the pen.

No it's not a joke. Bruce Miles says there will be a corresponding move with someone to the DL, but we don't know who yet. They may not announce it for a day or two but it's 100% legit. Gallaghers dad posts on nsbb and reguarly gives updates on his minor league starts.

Good to hear.

I didn't mean to say you were joking about this post, but maybe the guy was pretending to be Gallaghers dad or something lol.

Great news though.

Thanks for the update.

Doubt it. Hope nobody important is going on the DL though.

Looks like it's Guzman to the DL. Not sure if it's only 15 day or if it's longer.

I really hope not.. He has filthy stuff and could be a real asset out of the pen.

I wouldn't doubt it though.. They have moved him around from the pen to starter back to the pen etc..

Looks like good news. I like these young guys getting time to play in the Majors for experience.

The Atlanta Braves a few years ago had success bringing up young players like Francouer.
