Blanco and Dempster are coming back soon so this should all change. Hill and Soto will probably go down or one will get traded.

Outgoing-
Jacque Jones
Rob Bowen (or some catcher)
Cesar Izturis

Hill is as good as gone..

Once he gets sent back down he's out of options and he's gone I believe.. He can then file for Free Agency - which would be dumb, because no one would really want him.

Bowen - Soto until Blanco gets back.. And then Lou needs to figure it out.

For Ken Griffey Jr.

I was on the 1st baseline today at the game and I was pleased to see Jones showing some hustle to 1st base even on the slightest hit ball.
Plus he had that awesome trap catch in Center. He sold it perfectly.

He is an embarrassment to the game of baseball.

It really is mind boggling that he's still on the team.

I always thought JJ was a good left handed-above average fielder type player. I know his average hasn't always looked good, but he has hit homeruns and drove in some runs.

20-30 hr
70-80 rbi

isn't bad. Too bad he isn't getting any playing time with this team to get even close to those numbers.

Something wierd... His average was .300 for a couple season then .250 for a the next couple and now .230.

I think if we gave him some burn he could still be a 25hr 75rbi guy batting in the 7th hole, but then again we have a couple young guys fighitng for PT and doing much better than JJ.

If anything else he has a hot g/f packing some serious heat.

Oh and I found this for ya treyZz

so what were the pitchers stats during that time? if they got more than two hits....this is just embarrassing

i would just much rather play with eight and just put a glove behind the plate

I'm sure Cubs pitchers have more hits, just because of Zambrano. Big Z probably has more hits than Hill and Bowen combined

Cubs catchers Bowen, Hill, and Soto have a combined total of 34 hits in 176 AB this season, for a .193 avg. 3 HR and 20 RBI's

Cubs pitchers Zambrano, Marquis, and Lilly have a combined total of 25 hits in 127 AB for a .197 avg. 3 HR and 12 RBI's

Some of Bowen's stats came with the Padres though, I think he's only got 3 hits since joining the Cubs.
