Bruce Levine says that the injury to Ward could be serious enough to jeopardize most of the remaining season for him. He may be DL'd tomorrow.

We should really give Cedeno another shot. He's absolutely raking in the minors and Theriot is the only one on our roster I'm really comfortable with at SS.

I never had much of a problem with Cedeno, I actually liked seeing him in the lineup.

They might bring him back up since they don't really have a true SS on the roster anymore, and Fontenot showed that he shouldn't be counted on to fill-in at SS.

I wouldn't mind seeing Cedeno at SS here and there, with Theriot obviously moving over to 2B for those games.

Cedeno IMO is the worse clutch hitter that i ever saw in my life.. what was his BA with players in scoring position???? it has to be well below .200!! trade his a$$

Um, he's young and needs time to play. You can't expect every minor league prospect to contribute immediately. He's certainly no worse than any of the other true SS this team has had for years.

(Theriot doesn't count)

did you watch him play 06'?? i kept with the cubs that year and trust me it was traumatizing.... He was traumatizing... every time he was up to bat with players on it was almost and auto-out.. he was basically the JJ of 2006 maybe worse.

Right, but my point is that a young guy needs more than the ~650 ABs he's had between 05-07 to really get going.
