How many more plays like this need to happen before Lou realizes Pie needs to be out there?

Not to mention Jones is not hitting for power & is not walking.. He's pretty useless. Not that it needed to be said though.

He should've flew with his wings to catch the ball at the TOP of the wall. He's totally not producing offensively today either.

He's lucky the ball did not hit him in his fat ugly head.

The ball almost hit him in the shoulder.. He didn't need to jump to the top of the fence.

That is 3 fly balls in this series he has lost in the sun. Why are we debating his defense? You cannot sit here and tell me he's been playing well defensively.

Also, his great offense in the 2nd half still has him at a .245 average.

You mean the ball he took a terrible route to?

I kind of am beginning to like Jacque.
He has been hustling on the field and making great catches.

I still wish he could hit a few homers though. [/negative comment]

JJ has been getting on my nerves slightly less recently, but I'm still far from his #1 fan and firmly believe that Pie should be out there.

Except 8th is the worst spot to put him in the order. He needs to be moved up a little bit so he'll see some decent pitches. Unless Big Z is pitching he's going to see nothing but garbage in that spot. Which won't help his offense develop in the majors.

If Pie could put up an OPS of even .700, he'd be playing every day.

This is JOCK's worst year ever by far at the plate, and he's still outperforming what Pie was doing.

It's a pretty crappy situation for a contending team, honestly. You don't want to go find a permanent solution because Pie will be that guy, but he's not ready right now. Meanwhile you have to do everything you can as a franchise to win every single game because you're in a pennant race.

2004 - .254 average / .315 obp
2005 - .249 average / .319 obp
2006 - .285 average / .334 obp
2007 - .242 average / .309 obp

Worst year every by far? Uh look at the stats.

This is a typical Jacque Jones year. He's crap.

Dude, I know you hate the guy, but to deliberately leave out slugging insults my intelligence.

OPS every year:
.789
.781
.751
.852
.797
.742
.757
.833
.650

One of these things is not like the other, one of these things just doesn't belong.....

92 OPS points below his 2nd worst year. Uh, yeah, look at the stats.

And yes, Jacque Jones is crap. Pie is just worse at this point, offensively.

Felix Pie has never been given a realistic chance.
Mike Fontenot is in just as bad as a slump as Pie was and he is still here.
