Contenders if we could hit the ball the same day we pitch well. Our power hitters haven't hit anything all year, and outside Zambrano, I do not have much confidence in our rotation.

The mute button will get a heavy workout with Buck and McCarver at the helm.

I used to turn on WGN Radio when ESPN or FOX did a game but now the radio is way ahead of the TV.
Lucky us..
We have Tim McCarver and Joe Buck on Saturday and Joe Morgan and John Miller on Sunday.
Yay!

Sorry to take this off topic but you guys don't like joe buck? I think he is one of the best annoucers out there.

Well, Buck's better than McCarver, but everyone not named Joe Morgan is. He only got into the business because of his dad, never hides his Cardinals love and we're forced to listen to him all the time since he does like, every playoff game. You can't even get a break from him during football season. It's oversaturation, which probably makes him more annoying than he really is.
Meanwhile quality announcers like Joe Girardi get shut out of playoff games.
And I like John Miller, he has a really good baseball voice. But being paired with Morgan is an obstacle too large for anyone to hurdle.

I'm still not sure if I'll be getting the game on FOX here. I read somewhere that 76% of the nation was getting this game, but I fear that I'll be getting the Cleveland game here because of proximity.

Oh yeah, and speaking about Joe Buck, I ran across this article the other day:
ChicagoSports.com wrote:When Chicagoans spot Fox baseball announcer Joe Buck before a Cubs-Cardinals game, they invariably tell him: "We know who you're pulling for."
"It's good-natured, like the rivalry," Buck said.
Buck did grow up around the Cardinals because of his late father, Jack, the Hall of Fame announcer. And while he still does local play-by-play on a handful of Cardinals games, he says it's not accurate to call him a fan.
"I'm beyond all that stuff," he said. "I root for great matchups and great games."
Buck recalled that in 2003, while he and Tim McCarver called the ALCS for Fox, he was captivated by the Cubs-Marlins playoff series. While driving from Boston to New York between games, he desperately tried to get a clear signal on the radio.
"We were rising and falling with every pitch like 10-year-old fans," he said. "That scene at Wrigley, with all the fans on the street at Waveland, I was so jealous.
