o crap this sucks hopefull he isnt out long they said it was a right quad strain could the curse be back again

Uhh...Ryan Howard had the same injury earlier in the season and look at him now.

ya i guess but still hopefully he is ok and doesnt re-injure it

CHICAGO -- Chicago Cubs outfielder Alfonso Soriano limped off the field Sunday night with a strained right quad, and his status was day-to-day.
Soriano had singled with two outs in the Cubs third, the first hit off New York Mets pitcher Tom Glavine. Ryan Theriot then singled to center, and Soriano started running to third. About four steps after rounding second base, Soriano pulled up and tried to hop to third on his left leg.
The sellout crowd at Wrigley Field was silent as Soriano was helped off the field.
The outfielder, sidelined earlier this season with a strained left hamstring, was batting .296 with 18 homers and 42 RBIs, and his single ended an 0-for-9 streak. He now is 21-for-88 in his last 20 games.

I haven't been following Alfonso on the Cubs too much but 18 HR and 42 RBI in 103 games? You gave this guy $17 million a year for that?

Leadoff hitters generally don't get many RBI's.

I think in Washington he was a 3 hitter and in New York during the beginning of his career he was a 2 hitter. I think he hit after Jeter.

Most Cubs fans would probably agree that he should be hitting in the middle of the order rather than leading off. It's not our choice though.

This injury may be a blessing in disguise. Felix Pie will probably come up and get a lot of playing time and prove himself.

I think he could hit anywhere in the lineup, but I wouldn't throw him in the lead off spot right away.

I think Theriot will bat in the leadoff spot. He gets on base a lot. He has a .360 OBP this year.
