Why can't we hit home runs?

Post#1 » by Posey H8er » Mon Aug 13, 2007 5:39 am

We seem to have lost all of our power that we normally have. I do not understand this at all.

--------------------------------2006 HR total ----------- 2007 Projected HR Total
Soriano- ----------------------------------46_____________26
Lee('05 because of injury)-------------46____________17
Ramirez-----------------------------------38_____________24
Jones--------------------------------------27______________4

TOTAL-------------------------------------157_____________71

Well, first of all Jones sucks so you shouldn't be surprised by his weak HR total.

As for Soriano, Lee, Ramirez.. I have no clue.

Lee with the wrist probably zapped some of his power, but I mean his power has been pretty nonexistent.

I am shocked that Floyd hasn't hit more HRs.

hey the fans asked for it, especially after 2004 when that team broke tons of records... fans wanted the small ball and we're getting it... I can't quite understand it either though. ramirez is having a good year overall and is a little below his career averages, soriano i think had a little to do w/ the first couple of months w/ his struggles, and lee was expected to have a down power year, but i didn't think it would be this bad. as far as jacque goes... i can't explain that

I'm just thinking what if we somehow get out of this funk and start hitting at least 1.5 homers a night. We could pass Milwaukee more easily that way.

Floyd hit 34 homers two years ago and has 2. It's a team epidemic.

Our main HR guys have been lacking in power but our scrappy guys have done it all year long.

HR=over rated.
