Jones needs some ice on that ankle. So Lee, Wuertz, or Hill can help him out.

Beat this pathetic pitching staff. The Ankiel Lifetime Original Movie for Women program will come to an end.

You are getting way ahead of yourself.
Ryan Theriot and Aramis are both better than Jacque on this team alone.

This reminds me of the 5 game series we had vs the Cardinals in late 2003. Remember we took 4 out of 5.

I was at one of those games.

The one that went 15 innings & ended with a Sammy walk off.

Greatest game I've ever been too easily.

I went to the game we lost because of that gay "chalk" call.

That was an amazing series.
I remember when Alfonseca bumped the umpire.

Game 1 was a blowout on Labor Day after like a 4 hour rain delay. We won 7-0.

Game 2 was the Sosa HR that won it in the 15th inning.

Game 3 was the game where we lost when the ball clearly hit the chalk but was ruled a foul ball. Alou and Alfonseca (From the bullpen) argued and Alfonseca bumped the umpire. He was ejected.

Game 4 was when the Cubs came back from 6-0 down in the 6th to win the game 8-7.

Game 5 we ended up winning 7-6 thanks to a Tony Womack basehit in the 7th.

I'm sorry, 2003 was a great year to be a Cub fan no matter how it ended up.
That doubleheader against the Pirates was the greatest moment of my life especially the clincher.
Watching Ron Santo go nuts in the booths.

The 2003 NLDS when Kenny Lofton should have had a triple play and the fans in the bleachers mocking the Tomahawk Chop.
And the NLDS clincher sending us to the NLCS.
The 3-1 lead we had and we all thought we were going to our first World Series in 50 years.
And then.....

Oh and when we were down by 3 early in game 7 of the NLCS and Kerry Wood hit the game tying home run and Aramis hit that long home run to give us the lead.

I remember the 03 Woody homerun. I was on the El with a group of people crammed into the red line like sardines. I had a portable TV and a walkman on me, when Wood hit the homerun we had just come above ground at Fullerton. 3rd inning if I remember correctly. I screamed out

"HOMERUN BY WOODY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

It literally took 30 seconds to spread around the train and then the El car driver announced it.

Too bad I was also outside of the stadium when the ((simpsons character)man thing happened.

:(
