Will we trade Jacques Jones?

Well since we were so close to dealing Jacques Jones this season, I was wondering if it will happen this offseason. I love JJ, he's my favorite player, but thanks to this hot streak I'm having hope that he will stay.
So will we keep or lose him?

We will defiantly keep JJ after the way he has been playing.

I like JJ when he is playing good, like his hot streak right now. I don't like when he gets in those long slumps. Hendry will probably look for a replacement or just want to keep Pie in center.

I could see them keeping Jones around as a 4th OF due to his versatility - not as a starter.
I don't know that Jones ever really took to Chicago though, so my guess is he'll go elsewhere.

He's not good enough to be a starting OF on a good team. 4th OFer sure. But he could start on some bad teams and would probably prefer to do so. Personally, I'm hoping we acquire a corner bat in the offseason, trade Jones and have Murton as our 4th.

I would think that RF would be the Cubs' top offseason priority, along with catcher and a lefty reliever.
Also, unless Pie starts actually hitting, they'll need another CF rental to keep his spot warm - which is why Jones would actually make some sense as a 4th OF. But like you said, maybe he'd rather start in Pittsburgh.

Yeah Matt Weiters sounds really good right now...

If he keeps playing like he is now...I think we'll keep him.

JJ has pretty much fought for his OF position. Its good to have him for insurance next year because one of the young OF will not pan out.. or if Soriano gets injured.
